Fund-raising efforts at Castletown Golf Links have, so far this year, produced £15,500 for the island-based dementia care charity ‘Forget Me Not’. A highly successful MAC Group backed golf day in June was followed in July by the joint Captain’s Day two-person scramble. £1,000 of the total raised was chipped in from the beat the captain nearest-the-pin challenge underwritten by Suntera Global. Club captain Rich Dunn, together with his wife Maryann and former club captains Bron and Roger Raatgever, were the winners of the MAC golf day team prize, each winning a TaylorMade cart bag.
Ross Mulligan and Michael Charmer won the Captain’s Day Men’s Pairs Competition with a very impressive 11 under par 61, which became nett 62 after their (+1) handicap adjustment.
