<p>Tournament Rules and Conditions of entry:</p>
<p>1. The Old Tom Open Competition will be played as a Medal Competition over 36 Holes. The Winner of the Competition will be the Competitor returning the lowest gross aggregate score for 36 Holes.</p>
<p>2. The Old Tom will be played under the Rules of Golf, the Rules of Amateur Status, and the Equipment Standards Rules of The R&A and USGA.</p>
<p>3. Any Trophy presented (not yet acquired, one to be sourced) will remain the property of Castletown Golf Club and be kept on permanent display in the Clubhouse. At a future date, a replica maybe acquired which will be the winner's to keep, this at the discretion of Castletown Golf Club.</p>
<p>4. Entry into The Old Tom is available to Male Amateur Golfers who are bona fide members of recognised Golf Clubs or iGolf (England Golf) and are in possession of a Handicap Index not exceeding 5.3 at time of entry.</p>
<p>5. The field will be restricted to the 48 players and on a first come, first served basis. A reserve list, if necessary will be maintained.</p>
<p>6. A Starting Sheet for each round will be displayed on this site and sent to those Competitors who have supplied an e-mail address. Players may not request specific tee-times nor will requests for playing partners be accepted. In the event of a genuine emergency that prevents a player from playing at his allotted time, at the discretion of the Committee/Administrator, an attempt maybe made to accommodate a modified time.</p>
<p>7. No refunds will be made once the draw has been made and published to the field. The Closing date being 23:59pm, Saturday 19th July 2025.</p>
<p>8. The Committee will replace players who scratch with applicants from the reserve list.</p>
<p>9. Play will be in three-balls, or if necessary, two-balls in 10 minute intervals.</p>
<p>10. Given some players may be travelling to play, in the case of a tie, a winner will be determined by count-back with the final 18 holes used, then the final 9 holes and so on. </p>
<p>11. There will be a short Prize Presentation on the day of the event, following all play and at approximately 6.30-7pm. Please note, the Bar and Clubhouse will close shortly thereafter.</p>
<p>12. Other than the Winner, all other prize winners will have prize credits in the form of Pro Shop vouchers to be used in Castletown's Pro Shop and within six months of date of issue.</p>
<p>13. Smart Casual Dress is required in the Clubhouse and on the Course.</p>
<p>14. Catering facilities will be available on the day at players' expense. Players are advised to pre-order (not essential) any food in Salt & Swing prior to Rd 1 play or the day prior. </p>
<p>15. The Competition Committee reserve the right to refuse an entry without assigning a reason for such action. The committee reserves the right to vary the number of competitors or to extend the closing date for entries. Any dispute arising shall be referred to the Committee for their decision which will be final.</p>
